Caspar Fransson´s Marvellous World

Fourteen-year-old Caspar Fransson moves with his family to the small town of Viksvalla in Sweden. Filijokus is utterly fed up with constantly moving and having to change schools because of his mom’s ridiculous archaeology projects. But nothin in Viksvalla turns out as he expected. Caspar realizes he is part of a gran, marvellous puzzle and finds himself caught up in an adventure of life and death. A young adult novel that captivates adults as well.

Rewiews

An incredibly exciting young adult novel about Caspar Fransson that also resonates with adults, featuring fantastic characters and wonderful language. A clear storyline with mysterious objects and events that tie the story together. One of the best reads I’ve experienced

Anna Jakobsson, teacher

”Thank you for an incredibly thrilling read; I truly couldn’t put it down. So many beautiful details, clever nuances, and a sense of fighting for something you believe in come through in this wonderful book. Lucky are those who haven’t read The Caspar Book yet.”

Åsa Bergshem, Special education teacher, high school

I’ve just finished reading this thrilling book. Two nights where I couldn’t stop reading about Filijokus, even though it was late. I can truly recommend this book for both adults and children. Molly and the Peculiar Miss Saga Bloom was also a favorite for both me and the kids.

The amazing Agneta Wallner! Our childhood town of Hudiksvall, called Viksvalla, is portrayed in Caspar Fransson’s Marvellous World, an exciting young adult novel. A fantastic story with adventures in both present day and the Viking era. It’s also a multifaceted tale about the fear of abandonment and the longing for love and belonging. A book that everyone should read.

ÅSA ALSTRÖM JOHANNESSON

We’ve just finished reading the amazing book about Molly and the Peculiar Miss Saga Bloom. Astrid and I give it a 10 out of 10. Wow, what a book! Astrid has two older sisters who usually read to her in the evenings, but after I read the first chapter to her as her mom, I was hooked. We decided that only the two of us would read it together because we thought it was so good! Last night, when we read the final chapter, she said, ’Nooo, it can’t be over—this is the best book I’ve ever read.’ Thank you for a wonderful reading experience

The best time of day is when Edwin, 11, and I cuddle up in his bed and read Molly and the Peculiar Miss Saga Bloom. Each chapter is like an adventure, a wonderful world we’re transported into. We laugh out loud and marvel at her antics. A magical book.

MARIA OCH EDWIN NOVOTNY, GOTHENBURG

My son Lington, 5 years old, now wants to read Grandpa Blue & The Little Prince every night. He lingers on each page, carefully looking at all the beautiful illustrations and discovers something new almost every time. A fantastic book, Agneta!

What a wonderful book, Caspar Fransson’s Marvellous World, that I devoured in just two days. I almost forgot to eat and sleep. It’s a young adult book, but it’s also perfect for adults. So exciting that I couldn’t wait to turn the page. It’s so well-written and easy to read. While I was eager to reach the end, I also didn’t want the story to be over. A great read for adults as well. Thank you for an exciting story.

With a childlike wonder still fresh, this author journeys through the world of fairy tales. A children’s book doesn’t become authentic without the author’s true engagement, and in Agneta’s books, there’s 100% presence—something only possible when a child’s heart beats wildly in your chest. It’s not something she does; it’s who she is. Regardless of age, read and experience stories that are truly ‘present.
